An ADSR envelope generator on a chip, produced by Curtis Electromusic in the late 1970s through about 1985. It went out of production earlier than most Curtis chips because, by the early '80s, most manufacturers of polyphonic synths (which was Curtis' primary target market) were already switching to software-generated envelopes. It is now extremely rare.
