The frequency at which a bandpass filter has its peak response, or a notch filter has its lowest response. Analogous to the cutoff frequency of a lowpass or high pass filter. The term "cutoff frequency" is often used when speaking of filters in general, and it is assumed that the term actually refers to the center frequency when the filter in question is a bandpass or notch filter.
