Electronica which is specifically created for dancing Argentine tango to. Electro tango attempts to combine traditional tango music (which features a melody with some quick runs alternating with empty space, over a typically subdued backing track) with electronica sensibilities such as a more prominent rhythm carried by a drum machine, and a more prominent bass line created by a sequencer-driven synth. A notable feature of traditional tango music is that the melody is generally played on an accordion, and many electro swing tracks use various types of synthesized accordion patches, sounding almost but not quite like an actual accordion, for the same purpose.
